Miss your soccer now that the World Cup is finished?
Well, the Premier League returned to play Monday, with more matches scheduled for today. One of those will pit Christian Pulisic and Chelsea, which sits in the middle of the league table with 21 points, against Bournemouth.
Graham Potter’s side (6-3-5) entered the World Cup break without a win since mid-October and losers of its last three matches. While Bournemouth (4-4-7) is a few spots lower, it did win two of three before the break.
The 12:30 p.m. Eastern match on Tuesday will take place at Stamford Bridge and air on the USA Network, with fubo TV (give the FREE seven-day trial a try), DirecTV Stream and Sling TV.
Potter is in his first year as manager and has been under increasing scrutiny over the past couple of months, so the break was certainly welcome as he tries to fix a couple of the major issues.

Key players Wesley Fofana, Reece James, N’Golo Kante and Ben Chilwell have all been sidelined for lengthy periods with a variety of knee and hamstring issues, but they were included on a traveling squad for a warm weather camp in Abu Dhabi ahead of the resumption of league play, according to goal.com.
In addition, two of Chelsea’s best performers at the World Cup – Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech – are players whose futures at Stamford Bridge are far from certain. The organization figures to use the next few months to decide whether to keep one or both.
Overall, this is a team where outcome has not met expectations, and questions over the quality of personnel at midfield and at the back will follow this group through the remainder of the season.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth has scored eight goals in its last three Premier League games, as many as it had in its previous 11 combined. Still, it is on the road, where it has failed to keep a clean sheet in any of its 17 top-flight away games since a 1-0 win at Chelsea in December 2019, per the BBC.
In terms of a player to watch, Marcus Tavernier has been directly involved in six of Bournemouth’s last eight Premier League goals, which includes two goals and four assists. So we’ll see if he can continue that streak.
