On the play before Jenkins got hurt, receiver Equanimeous St. Brown suffered a concussion that knocked him out of the game. On a 20-yard completion from Justin Fields, St. Brown appeared to hit his head on the ground when he was thrown down by Eagles cornerback James Bradberry.
The Bears were already without receivers Darnell Mooney, who is out for the season with an ankle injury; and Chase Claypool and N’Keal Harry, who were inactive Sunday with knee and back injuries, respectively.
Early in the second half, rookie middle linebacker Jack Sanborn exited with an ankle injury he sustained while tackling tight end Jack Stoll on a 6-yard reception. Sanborn had recorded 54 tackles and five tackles-for-loss in five starts since joining the No. 1 defense following the trade of Roquan Smith.
Cornerback Jaylon Johnson also left late in the game with a rib injury, but not before recording six tackles and a season-high three pass breakups.
