Alice in Borderland season 2 is finally streaming on Netflix. As expected, many people are tuning in to see what Arisu, Usagi, and the others get up to this season. If you’re like us, you’ve probably already binged your way through the complete second season. Now you’re wondering if there will be an Alice in Borderland season 3. Of course, you can count on us to share all there is to know about a potential third season.
The second season had viewers on another wild ride with many unique twists and turns. There were also tons of exciting, action-packed scenes that will have you on the edge of your seat. Additionally, the talented cast gave outstanding performances, including the new cast members.
But no one was prepared for that shocking cliffhanger ending. We just have to see how the story continues in an Alice in Borderland season 3. But what are the chances of the science fiction series returning for a third installment? Here’s what we know.
Is Alice in Borderland season 3 happening?
We hope so! As of Dec. 22, Netflix has not announced if Alice in Borderland will return for a third season. However, no one should be worrying yet because the second season just dropped. It’ll likely be a while before Netflix makes any decisions on the show’s fate. The streamer needs time to see how many people watch the second season in a specific time frame. I can’t stress enough how important viewership numbers are to Netflix. Of course, other factors play a part in the renewal process, such as production costs and critical acclaim. But viewership numbers are a major factor.
The first 28 days of the second season’s release are very important. If Alice in Borderland season 2 gets a substantial amount of views in its first month on the streamer, the chances of the show coming back for a third season will be high. But it’s important to mention that people must watch the season from beginning to end. This means all episodes of season 2. The completion rate is very important because it’s also believed to factor heavily into whether Netflix will renew a show.
Fortunately, we don’t have to worry about there not being enough story to tell in a third season. Based on the second season’s ending, the story could go in so many different ways in Alice in Borderland season 3. We just need Netflix to give the go-ahead for another season.
Stay tuned to Netflix Life because we’ll keep you informed on the renewal status!
